Trakm8 wins £1.3m Calor contract
UK-based big data company, Trakm8 announced it has been awarded a five-year contract by Calor Gas UK.
The project will see Trakm8 supply its integrated RoadHawk 600 camera and telematics solutions with integrated driver behaviour and data analytics to Calor’s reseller partner, Dakota Integrated Solutions.
Valued at over £1.3m, the contract stated initial deployment of the units would commence before the end of 2017.
John Watkins, executive chairman of Trakm8, said: “We are delighted to be awarded this contract with Calor. It is another major customer to move forward with our latest integrated camera and telematics proposition and it provides additional visibility for current year revenues and profitability.”
Trakm8 is a UK-based Big Data company which utilises telematics. Through IP owned technology, over three billion miles worth of data is collected annually, claims Trak8m.
With the headquarters in Dorset and a manufacturing facility in the West Midlands, the group supplies a number of well-known customers such as the AA, Saint Gobain, EON, Iceland, Shell, Scottish Power, Direct Line Group, Euro Car Parts and Young Marmalade.
This data is developed to provide insights that are utilised to:
• Create fleet management solutions to develop and fine tune algorithms used to provide insights to companies to enable them to utilise their fleet’s to their full potential.
• Provide insurers with propositions that score drivers in accordance to the risks in their driving behaviour, in order to calculate premiums more efficiently
• Optimise vehicles.
• Supply OEM vehicle manufacturers with a range of both aftermarket products and line-fit data solutions through its Automotive division
